My first job as a multimedia journalist/reporter landed me in the 'Northwoods' of Wisconsin. During my two years here, I've worked on skills as a reporter and videographer. I make sure my stories are credible, hard-hitting and visually interesting. WRNN-TV / Verizon FiOS1 NewsFor the duration of my winter break, I interned at Verizon FiOS1 News in Rye Brook, New York (market 1). As a news intern, I work with assignment editors, producers, directors, and reporters. I work in the heart of the newsroom and am comfortable with the fast-paced environment of a station. WJAR-NBC 10
My first semester of senior year, I interned at WJAR/NBC 10 in Cranston, Rhode Island (market 52) at the assignment desk. My worked directly with reporters, anchors, producers, and photographers. I also answered phones, assisted with breaking news coverage, logged tapes, and shadowed reporters out on the field. WTNH-ABC 8
I interned with WTNH Channel 8 in New Haven, Connecticut (market 30) during the summer before my senior year. As the CT Style intern, I worked with co-host's Teresa Dufour and Ryan Kristafer. I pitched ideas for segments, wrote scripts, and assisted in the editing of packages. I was also given the opportunity to write web articles after mentioning I wanted to be more involved, and even worked on my anchor reel.
